5th & 6th Year · Higher & Ordinary Level

The short answer
Leaving Cert grinds are one-to-one lessons for 5th and 6th Years, Higher or Ordinary Level, focused on the exact syllabus and papers your child will sit. A grinds tutor closes the gaps, drills real exam questions, and builds a study plan around the mocks in February and the exams in June.
Sound familiar?
The CAO course they want has a number on it, and one subject is dragging the average down.
The level decision changes the points on offer; it deserves better evidence than one bad test.
February results land hard, but they are data, and there is still time to act on them.
Teachers are racing to finish the course; one-to-one goes back for whatever was missed.
The exam plan
The senior cycle has fixed landmarks. Grinds work best when every lesson knows which one it's building towards.
September
Gaps get closed while the course is still being taught, not after.
February
A dress rehearsal that becomes data: exactly where the marks are leaking.
June
Exam technique and timing drilled on real past papers, under the clock.
Between the mocks and June is the highest-leverage stretch of the whole cycle: the results say exactly what to fix, and there is still time to fix it. In Junior Cycle instead? Start earlier with Junior Cert grinds.

Five-lesson promise
The risk is ours, not yours.
We know how important the right tutor match is. If it doesn't feel right, we'll find your child another tutor and you won't pay for that lesson. If you're not satisfied with their progress after five lessons, we'll refund every cent you paid for them.
The right tutor can make all the difference, not only to your child's results, but also to their confidence, understanding and ability to tackle their schoolwork independently. For you, that means the reassurance of knowing your child is supported, making progress and moving in the right direction. That's the transformation we want your child to experience, and we're prepared to stand behind it.
First, your child's tutor should feel like the right fit. If your child doesn't feel comfortable, understood and excited to continue after their lesson, simply tell us. We'll find them a better-matched tutor, and you won't pay a cent for that lesson.
Once your child has found the right match, give us five lessons to help them make meaningful progress. If, after those five lessons, you're not satisfied with the change you're seeing, let us know and we'll refund every cent you paid for them.
Our 97% customer success rate gives us the confidence to make this promise. But if your child is among the 3% who don't get the results you hoped for, we wouldn't feel right keeping your money.
No awkward conversations. No hoops to jump through. The risk is ours, not yours.
Rates depend on the tutor's experience and how often you book; you'll see exact prices for matched tutors before committing. No sign-up fees, no long contracts.
Yes, both, in every major subject. Tutors also help with the HL or OL call itself, using paper performance rather than panic, because the level decision changes the CAO points on offer.
Yes, and it is one of the most effective windows: the mocks show exactly where marks are leaking, and a tutor turns that into a focused plan of syllabus repair and exam technique for the months to June.
Our grinds are online, which means every student in Ireland gets the same tutor pool, usually a far better match than whoever happens to be local.
Yes, we have a dedicated Junior Cert grinds page. Starting in Junior Cycle is the cheapest time to fix the gaps that would otherwise cost points at the Leaving Cert.
