The short answer
Maths grinds are one-to-one maths lessons outside school, focused on the exact syllabus your child sits, from Junior Cycle up to Leaving Cert Higher Level. A grinds tutor fills the gaps the classroom moved past, works real exam papers, and builds the confidence that classroom pace knocks out of students.
Sound familiar?
And the mocks are closer than they look.
The level decision deserves better evidence than one bad test.
Maths is carrying more CAO weight than any other subject on their list.
One missed concept in algebra compounds for years; one-to-one goes back and fixes it.
The exam year
The Irish exam year has fixed landmarks. Grinds work best when every lesson knows which one it's building towards.
September
Gaps from earlier years get closed before they cost marks.
February
Mock papers become a progress check instead of a shock.
June
Exam technique and timing drilled on real past papers, under the clock.
Tutors set milestones backwards from those dates, so every week has a job. The mocks stop being a verdict and start being data.
Online only, on purpose
No commute, no waiting room. A shared whiteboard, past papers on screen, and a tutor pool far bigger than any one town's. Wherever you are, your child gets the same standard of grinds tutor.

A vetted maths grinds tutor matched to your child's year, level and personality.
From the mocks in February and the June papers, every week has a job.

Five-lesson promise
The risk is ours, not yours.
We know how important the right tutor match is. If it doesn't feel right, we'll find your child another tutor and you won't pay for that lesson. If you're not satisfied with their progress after five lessons, we'll refund every cent you paid for them.
The right tutor can make all the difference, not only to your child's results, but also to their confidence, understanding and ability to tackle their schoolwork independently. For you, that means the reassurance of knowing your child is supported, making progress and moving in the right direction. That's the transformation we want your child to experience, and we're prepared to stand behind it.
First, your child's tutor should feel like the right fit. If your child doesn't feel comfortable, understood and excited to continue after their lesson, simply tell us. We'll find them a better-matched tutor, and you won't pay a cent for that lesson.
Once your child has found the right match, give us five lessons to help them make meaningful progress. If, after those five lessons, you're not satisfied with the change you're seeing, let us know and we'll refund every cent you paid for them.
Our 97% customer success rate gives us the confidence to make this promise. But if your child is among the 3% who don't get the results you hoped for, we wouldn't feel right keeping your money.
No awkward conversations. No hoops to jump through. The risk is ours, not yours.
Rates depend on the tutor's experience and how often you book; you'll see exact prices for matched tutors before committing. No sign-up fees, no long contracts.
Yes, both: Junior Cycle through Leaving Cert. Tutors also help with the HL or OL decision itself, based on paper performance rather than panic.
For maths, online one-to-one works exceptionally well: shared whiteboards, instant feedback on exam questions, no travel, and lesson recordings to revise from. It also means the best-matched tutor, not the nearest one.
Our grinds are online, which means every student in Ireland gets the same tutor pool, usually a far better match than whoever happens to be local.
September starts compound: foundations are fixed before the mocks, and the mocks then become a progress check instead of a shock. After-mocks blocks still help, focused on exam technique.
